Coming Home to Love
August 30, 2022
The words that cannot, will not be spoken
Fear they may wound the heart you carry inside
Maybe the heartbreak will open you to the healing of the younger tender one
The one punished not asked
The one scorned not protected
The one shamed not held
Whose only response was to cower, cover the self the inquisitive curious self
Buried deep under the guise of ‘it does not matter’
Your hurt causes hurt to the ones who love you
Your soul wounded wounds
Your disharmony creates pain
The lash back
The expectations
The wanting to ease your pain causes pain
The answers are not outside my friend
T’is deep within you need to go
Peace will elude you till you look
Do the work of freeing you both
The big and the little one
Trapped inside the shroud of self-protection
When will you learn you don’t need it
When will your quiet and unnamed despair give way to your knowing
Your return to the way you were born
The innocence, the potential, the love
This is my wish for you
The enticing of the essence that is you
The discovery of the mystery deep inside
The return to the knowing
You back to the ALL of you
Then and only then will your hurt stop the hurt you dole out so freely
Only then will it shift and morph to something different
Self-love begets more love
Yours and for others
Yours to claim
Yours to know
Only to be accessed when you let go
Let go my love
Let go
